We hand deliver all packages to Northbrook addresses and generally (but not always) hand deliver to the immediate surrounding area. For all other packages we ship via FedEx, UPS, or USPS. We will select the best carrier based on the package, delivery location, timing and each carrier's current availability. Shipments can take up to 5 days, depending upon the final destination (even a bit longer during the holidays). Deliveries in Il, WI, MI, IN and IA generally are a one day ship. The option for hand delivery by BasketWorks/79Gifts or its designated courier is also usually available. Please click here for a partial listing of cities to which our courier delivers; this area encompasses most suburbs within 50 miles of downtown Chicago. Residential courier deliveries are made Monday through Friday between 9am and 7pm. Residential deliveries made when no one is available to receive the package will be left at a secure location or left with a neighbor. Commercial courier deliveries will be made Monday through Friday between 9am and 5pm. Our courier service guarantees delivery by the close of the business day, but is not able to guarantee a specific time. There is an additional fee for courier delivery. Please call us to arrange for courier delivery.
Both the purchaser and the recipient must be 21 years of age for gifts containing alcohol. All gifts including alcohol require a signature from an adult 21 years or older - we are unable to leave these if the recipient is not home.
Due to current state laws, baskets containing alcohol cannot be shipped to the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Colorado, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, North Dakota and Utah.
Shipping is $20 anywhere in the 48 contiguous states. We will select the most effective shipping service. Shipping to Hawaii or Alaska is via USPS and is based on the weight of the items shipped.
Costs for 3 Day Select, 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air will be quoted upon request. We require approval of additional charges prior to shipping. Please verify your shipping addresses and include suite or apartment numbers. Wrong addresses will be charged a $5 re-delivery fee. We cannot deliver to PO boxes.
